Russian Rice Harvest Reaches More than a Million Tons

 Russia has harvested about 1.2 million tons of rice in bulk weight, up 88.5 thousand tons from the same period last year, with yield of 66.7 centners per hectare vs. 66.1 centners per hectare.

 The 2019 rice planted area increased to 194 thousand hectares compared to 181 thousand hectares in 2018.

 The leading regions are Krasnodar Territory, Rostov Region, Astrakhan Region, the Republics of Dagestan and Adygea.
