Planted Area to Winter Crops Reaches 7 Million Hectares: Ukraine

The report of the “Information and Analytical Portal on Agribusiness ”of Ukraine said on December 10, that farmers planted winter crops on the area of 7 million hectares. The forecast was estimated at 7.3 million hectares.

Planting is 96% complete, including:

• winter wheat (95%) with area of 5.9 million hectares;
• rye (102%) with area of 124 thousand hectares;
• winter barley (100%) with area of 920 thousand hectares.

Winter rapeseed planting is 101% complete on the area of 1.1 million hectares.
