Ukraine Grain Exports Reach nearly 29 mn t

Since the beginning of 2019/20 marketing year, as of December 20, 2019, Ukraine has exported 28.9 million tons of grains and pulses, up by 7.78 million tons from the same period last year, the "Information and analytical portal on the Ukraine Agribusiness" reported.

During the period under review, Ukraine exported

14.37 million tons of wheat, up 4.4 million tons compared to the same period last year;

3.67 million tons of barley, up 533 thousand tons compared to the same period last year;

10.6 million tons of corn, up 2.88 million tons compared to last year and

5 thousand tons of rye, down 73.2 thousand tons from last year.

Stocks of grain and leguminous crops, as of December 1, 2019 had fallen down by 3.56 million tons (10.5%) to 30.5 million tons, vs. 34.07 million tons last year.
