Vietnam to Import Wheat from Four Russian Companies

Only four Russian companies will export wheat to Vietnam, Julia Melano, Adviser to the Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor told reporters.

"We received an official letter from Vietnam announcing that our colleagues were ready to resume deliveries from only four Russian companies, which passed inspections made by Vietnamese experts in December last year."

Julia added that all cargoes will undergo pre-shipment monitoring by Vietnamese specialists.

On January 17, 2020, the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert announced the resumption of wheat supplies to Vietnam.

Vietnam had suspended the exports earlier in October 2019.
